i am a little obsessed with illicit ohio. who knew ohio could be fascinating? the site is full of abandoned buildings and amusement parks and has a section of old vs. new photos of the same sites. there's even a photo tour of mike tyson's former (and now abandoned) mansion.
i love this book.
it is the first cookbook i've owned that i read in one night cover to cover. it's full of little tips and interesting info, not to mention some great recipes. i made the tomato and chedder turkey burgers last night and spent most of today dreaming about the leftovers. (they're already gone!)
i love the sky in the west.
especially the sunsets.
spending time in albuquerque kinda made me wanna live in a little adobe bungalow. a little adobe bungalow with a bright blue door. and i'd wear a long flowy skirt, an armful of silver bangles, and a vintage ring set with a giant chunk of turquoise. wanna come over and join me for some green chile and blue tortilla enchiladas?

paella on our anniversary
brunch at devil's food with peter (breakfast burrito in the back, tomato, mozzarella & green chile omelet and salad with fresh berried in front)
but it was fun pretending. it was hard to get good photos of the show, but here's one of me in babooshka before my fake hair came off and one of the start of the show on colfax. it's not easy walking down colfax in heels.
i need to practive model-y faces. my attempts made me look like a possessed zombie.
oshima ramen receives mixed reviews. some say it's the best ramen in the state. some complain that it's too dirty for them. i say, noodle soup + cute japanese creatures = heaven, although i always did picture heaven to be a little cleaner.
