oshima ramen receives mixed reviews. some say it's the best ramen in the state. some complain that it's too dirty for them. i say, noodle soup + cute japanese creatures = heaven, although i always did picture heaven to be a little cleaner.

I'm a fan, though the place does seem to be getting dingier and dingier. The last time I was there, a full set of dirty dishes set on the bar between us and the next customer for the entire time. He even asked the waitress to take them and she just looked at him uncomprehendingly and walked away.

But the food sure is good! (I posted some pictures a while back, here: http://kittbo.blogspot.com/2007/04/dinner-at-oshima-ramen.html )
