a salad devoured at Bar Uriarte, a little gem located in the Palermo Viejo (a trendy neighborhood filled with great restaurants, bars, and shops). spinach, endive, almonds, croutons, and bacon tossed in a yummy mustard dressing and topped with a poached egg. divine! so divine that we returned a second night and each ordered our own.
followed by the best steak i ever tasted. it was served with potatoes and a little fried round of parmesan cheese that went perfectly with the meat and wine. you can see it poking out from behind the meat.
a gigantic steak enjoyed by jordan one night when we met up with friends from quito. i slurped down two little dishes of perfectly spiced ratatouille. other dishes contained guacamole, two different kinds of potato salad, a green olive tapenade, blended beets, and marinated mushrooms.

Sounds like a nice trip you had! love the purple shoes too!
On a somber note though, i am terribled shocked and saddened by the terrible tragedy in Virginia! How awful for the people and family affected!

you are making me so hungry! it is true, the meat is so good there, during the years that i was a vegetarian, it was the most difficult when i was in ba. what did you do in palermo viejo? i guess you will be telling us later, can't wait!

Those steaks look fantastic and the colour of the beets is just amazing - I am not sure how I would feel when first confronted with food that colour but I am sure it tasted fab. I too love the idea of all the parmesan and steak! Looking forward to hearing more about Argentina!
