The other day on our way somewhere (where were we going Jordan?), Jordan and I passed a sign for a thrift shop. If you´ve been reading this blog carefully you are probably already aware that thrift shops are highly unusual in Ecuador as people use things until they fall apart. Hence, it took all of my will power to not jump out of the taxi right then. I went back to check it out today and got just close enough to seeing the big room FILLED with piles and piles of clothing when the woman sitting at the desk next to the entrance told me it doesn´t open until 1:30 in the afternoon. What do you mean it doesn´t open until the afternoon? The door was open, women were there working...I think they just saw the desperation in my eyes and decided to play with me. You know I´m going back tomorrow afternoon.

We have those in Manabi too! They are the coolest birds...We call them "piqueros patas azules".
